Michelle Malkin’s piece (“The Still Blame Us”, 9/12/2008) carries an incredulous and condescending tone in outlining that many in the world believe that the 9/11 attacks were perpetrated not by al-Qaeda, but by the American government and/or Israeli interests. Polling data over the last several years indicates that more and more people in the U.S. are finding serious holes in the report put forth by the 9/11 commission and want a new investigation. This is no “lunatic fringe” of the population. Family members of the victims, engineers, scientists, aviation experts and pilots, politicians, intelligence officials, and military personnel are joining the ranks of the 9/11 Truth Movement in droves. Yet this group, and anyone else who takes issue with the official story of 9/11, continues to be ridiculed and demonized by the likes of Malkin and her contemporaries in the mainstream media. What are they so afraid of? Dave Felipe |
